New AWF Training Workshops to Strengthen the Work of the Local Church in 2023

The cabinet and staff of the Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference are excited to announce seven training workshops planned to strengthen the clergy and lay leadership of our local churches. These one-hour workshops will be held via zoom throughout the months of January and February for anyone who is interested. Registration is required and can be done by clicking the links below.

Join us as we help you spark some new ideas for the year. We will look at how to map out a balanced program, hear about a few program ideas, learn some games, present a curriculum idea or two, look at ways to plug into your community, offer a few spiritual formation practices to incorporate in your Sunday morning and have a group sharing time where each person can share an idea.

Payroll Recordkeeping for Your Pastor

In this workshop, we will cover the rules for clergy vs. lay pastor payroll tax withholding, recording payroll deductions, and W-2 reporting. There will be discussion of how to translate the pastor compensation form to payroll and direct billing as well as a time for Q&A.
