This year's workshops will be:
Dr. Victor Dingus
Come hear about how this program can help smaller churches and organizations become more vital and achieve their desired results. The Marianna-Panama City is partnering with Dr. Dingus to offer support to our small churches who want to take the next step in revitalization and community impact.
Celeste will discuss community engagement, highlighting the General Commission on Religion and Race’s (GCORR’s) “Church to Community Initiative”. She'll share information on this initiative that GCORR has as well as offer some ways that churches can get engaged with the communities there are in and develop relationships with the people in these communities.
Cultural attitudes and practices are changing toward giving and tithing. How can the current generation be motivated to financially support the mission of the local church? How do we offer opportunities for giving to people who don't use a checkbook? Where are signs of hope for funding the ministries of God's kingdom? These and other important financial issues will be discussed in this class.
Each workshop will be approximately 45 minutes with a 15 minute break in between the sessions. This will give everyone an opportunity to attend two workshops if they wish. For more information contact the district office.
