Means of Grace | Day Apart for Spiritual Formation is a two year program which offers a day apart every quarter where the participants will learn about John Wesley’s means of grace and their potential for spiritual transformation. The leadership team for this program has heard the call to co-labor with God and the local church in making of disciples for the transformation of the world. The first day apart will be an Introduction to the Means of Grace, the next six days apart will cover each of the six means of grace, and the final day apart of the two year program will be Celebrating the Means of Grace. Our hope is that each participant will not only learn about each of the means of grace or spiritual disciplines but will also experience them and will be able to implement them into their daily lives. Each day apart will be held at Blue Lake begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. and will offer time for worship, learning, silence, fellowship, sharing a meal, and a chance to actually experience what is being taught. The schedule for each day apart is:
- Prayer Saturday, February 10, 2018
- Fasting and Holy Living Saturday, May 19, 2018
- The Sacraments Saturday, August 25, 2018
- Christian Conferencing/Living in Covenant Community Thursday, November 15, 2018
- Living Generously/Seeking Justice for All February 2019 (date to be determined)
- Celebrating the Means of Grace May 2019 (date to be determined)
The cost for each day apart is $40.00. Ten private rooms have been reserved for each day apart. Should you desire to spend the night there will be an additional cost of $63.00, which includes supper. Breakfast the following morning is not included as check-out is at 9:00 a.m.
