Position Description - Church Administrator Mission Statement: Love God, Love your neighbor, and Empower others to find their place in God's Greater Story. Position Purpose and Description: The Church Administrator supports the Lead Pastor and facilitates the church’s Mission Statement by providing the necessary support mechanisms. Specific oversight is given to human resources, financial and property management, legal issues, risk management, policy development, purchasing, network administration, transportation, and supervision of staff and volunteers involved in aforementioned areas. This position is the direct supervisor for IT Specialist, Finance Administrator, and Facility Managers. Work Schedule: The 40-hour work schedule for this position includes supporting evening committee and church meetings. Salary Exempt. Accountability: This position is accountable to the Lead Pastor. Requirements: The Church Administrator shall be an individual who will: ? Profess Christianity. ? Possess experience in the areas of leadership, administration, and education. ? Possess good oral and written communication skills ? Demonstrate the ability to successfully complete multiple projects. ? Support the policies and mission of CLC ? Adhere to all policies in the Landrum Professional Handbook. ? Adhere to all policies in the CLC Policies and Procedures Manual. ? Demonstrate an agreeable, positive attitude. ? Perform all duties as assigned. ? Lead, guide, and mentor direct reports. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: ? Provide oversight to ensure the appropriate and accurate accounting for church financial records, including general ledger, payroll, bank accounts, investments, borrowings, contribution records, and accounts payable. ? Provide management of personnel related issues such as recruitment and selection, budgeting, payroll, benefits management, compliance, policy development, conflict resolution, and termination. ? Coordinates the development of the annual church budget with SPRC, Board of Trustees, Finance Committee, staff and church leadership. Ensures compliance with approved budget line items. ? Provides oversight of facility issues, including plans for expansion and improvement, maintenance of buildings and grounds, security, use by outside groups, and insurance. ? Assist in the development and oversight of the annual stewardship program. ? Provides direction and support for the church’s functional committees, including the Church Council, the Board of Trustees, the Finance Committee, and the Staff-Parish Relations Committee. ? Provides direct supervision of the finance office personnel, buildings & grounds personnel, and computer systems support personnel. ? Provides safe sanctuary guidelines and advises supervisors on the administration of these policies. ? Researches and coordinates all technological developments including telephone, computer and equipment enhancements and contracts. ? Oversight and annual review of all contracts. ? Provides oversight of documents required for the annual CLC Charge Conference, including the reports required by the AWF Annual Conference. Physical Requirements: Most work will be performed indoors Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
