Blue Lake Launches 20 in 12 Campaign

Dear Pastors and Leaders of the Alabama-West Florida Conference,

Blue Lake United Methodist Assembly’s 2012 Annual Fund campaign is keyed on your support and action communicating directly to your local membership. Blue Lake’s "20 for 12 in 2012" theme depends on reaching as many throughout the conference as possible. With this campaign we can potentially reach a new group of donors who can make smaller gifts over time, rather than a large sum. We are inviting donors to give $20 each month of the year. Our prayer is that many small gifts will make a great impact in helping Blue Lake enhance camping operations, provide a robust camp scholarship fund this next year, and retire remaining debt – the 2004 mortgage was just paid off!

You are vital to Blue Lake’s Annual Fund campaign success. We ask you to do two important things:

- Include this flyer in a Sunday morning bulletin as an appeal for a Blue Lake offering and promote Blue Lake from the pulpit. When the appeal is made, especially if you have had a positive spiritual experience to share about a time at Blue Lake, provide an introduction that would inspire a broad response. A Blue Lake spokesperson can also be available to assist.

- E-mail the insert to all members, if you have e-mail service to your membership. Also think of groups within your congregation that could make an impact–Sunday School classes, small groups, youth, etc. 

Blue Lake is the Alabama-West Florida Conference’s own camp ground facility and our collective responsibility to support and use it. Help this appeal reach as many of the conference membership as possible. 

We give thanks that your response can pave the way to strengthening Blue Lake’s ministry. Blue Lake has seen many make life commitments in its rich 60-year history.
