During the celebration, three scholarship recipients spoke to donors about their personal calls to ministry and how the support of others has made a difference in their life.
"This is not a scholarship, it's a partnership," said Joe Driver, a current student at Asbury Theological Seminary. "When I look out and see your faces, I see Jesus Christ. Thank you for what you have done for me."
Rev. Michael Precht, who is currently serving at Brewton FUMC and Branson's Chapel in Brantley, Ala. recently returned to the AWF Conference from Duke Divinity School. Your support affirms these students, and reminds them that the conference is eagerly waiting to receive their ministry when they return from school."

"Continue to look for those in your own congregation that have a knack for doing ministry. Encourage them and pray for them. Thank you for answering your own call by supporting this foundation." .
