Opening Worship

The Opening Worship Service of the 2010 Alabama - Florida Annual Conference session was Sunday night, June 6 in the sanctuary at Frazer Memorial UMC in Montgomery, Ala. Bishop William Morris preached the sermon, "This Is The Day" reminding attendees that "This IS the day...Let us REJOICE and be GLAD in it." A mass choir of hundreds from throughout the Annual Conference provided music leadership, under the direction of Mr. Wayne Sigler. News to Note

CCPI: The Central Conference Pension Initiative (CCPI) is the beneficiary of the 2010 Annual Conference special mission offering. At time of press, over $40,000 has been collected for this ministry.

WalkingWorks: Frazer UMC food service has prepared a heart healthy meal for Monday's lunch to correspond with the launch of the AWF Conference's WalkingWorks program.

Health Screenings: All participants in the AWF Conference BC/BS Health Insurance program are encouraged to participate in the FREE health screenings this week. Please visit the Cokesbury Room at the following times (remember, it is best to fast prior to your screen): Monday & Tuesday, June 7 & 8, 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

UMCOR Relief Kit Drive: Don't forget to deliver your UMCOR relief kits to the trailer parked in the Frazer UMC parking lot.
