Financial Administrator - Daphne UMC (Daphne, AL)
Daphne United Methodist church is seeking a part-time Financial Administrator to oversee the bookkeeping functions of our church. He or she will be asked to work 15-18 hours per week. It is preferred that this individual currently work or have a past work history in the accounting field. A non-profit background or experience in a church setting is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The financial administrator is responsible for accounting for all monies coming into and going out of the church. This is done through accurate and detailed record keeping of all contributions, accounts payables, and accounts receivable.
Other Duties- Administration of the Church:
- Recount, deposit and record weekly contributions
- Accounts payable
- Analyze all DUMC accounts including Preschool
- Prepare reports for, and a end monthly Finance Committee meeting
Quarterly contribution statements; Prepare special reports from the financial data base as requested
- Works with the annual budgeting to assist the Finance Committee
- Answers office phones as needed
- Creates budget reports
- Provides offering envelopes for congregation.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
